A night away - Hotel NH, Málaga
In last month’s article, I did warn you that I love the city of Málaga. So this particular trip was associated with shopping, and I would say this hotel is the most convenient as it is within walking distance of the large El Corte Ingles department store as well as the Calle Larios pedestrian shopping precinct.
It is easy to find the hotel and shopping centre because you just follow the signs to the centre until you can see a fountain in the centre of the road. To the left is El Corte Ingles and if you drive to the back of this building you will find the Hotel NH Málaga.
The hotel is convenient for another reason. It has an underground public car park below the hotel. The reception desk is in the middle of a large entrance hall with floor to ceiling windows which continue through the bar and restaurant.
Our room was on the second floor and had a very comfortable king size bed.
Bedrooms had traditional polished wooden floors with décor to match. The hotel has all the features associated with a modern 4 star. However, in our short stay we did not sample the restaurant facilities.
After a drink in the bar, we walked across to El Corte Ingles and shopped until the store closed (10pm). Leaving off our purchases, we decided to walk towards Calle Larios and have fish at the famous Casa Vicente street restaurant and we got a seat before queues started forming.
In the morning we found a street café on the Calle Alameda beside the flower sellers and had coffee and croissants before returning home.
Price: 85€. Website: www.nh-hotels.com
